I have always wanted my own private practice since the time I was a teenager. After obtaining the appropriate education to achieve this dream I realized I was over-educated and inexperienced. I was also applying for jobs during the economic crash of 2008. I found myself in an entry-level job in social work and it turned out to be one of the most influential positions I took for my career. I started my private practice in 2014 during a turbulent personal time for myself and felt like I achieved my dream. However, after a few years in my private practice, I decided it was important to pivot and add career counseling to my practice. I learned that sometimes you can reach your dream and there is still room for growth/progress/change.
